Independent Study Skills

In Form Time every other Thursday, students will be practising independent study skills to improve  scholarly practice. Sessions will include focus on:

- Building a revision timetable

- Spaced Practice

- Dual Coding

- Retrieval Practice

- Interleaving

- Elaboration

- Concrete Examples

- Logical Arguments

- Deductive vs Inductive

- Fallacies

These are all essential skills to master for your revision which should be taking place 'little and often'. Powerpoints for each session and the booklet used can be accessed below. Further guidance on building a revision timetable can also be found below.
