“The Doctor will see you now….”
One of the highlights of our Post 16 results is to celebrate that one of our own students has secured their place at Queen Mary’s University to study Medicine. Ivan S, who has been at Shirley High School since year 7, achieved outstanding AAA grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths 'I am so incredibly proud to be the first Shirley High Student to be going to University to study medicine. This has come through dedication and commitment, alongside the amazing support and encouragement I received from the teachers. I want others to know to trust in the process. Hard work and commitment will pave a road to success. I wholeheartedly believe that I would not be in this position without the guidance and belief I received, and I cannot thank the school enough. It highlights that the sixth form has students' personal goals and achievements at its heart.’
